THE WINGS OF HOPE CHARITABLE TRUST

One day program on Presentation of Educational Support to the selected students affected by the Manipur Mayhem & Felicitation towards the Benevolent Donors & Well-wishers to express our gratitude, respect & admiration was held today on Sunday, the 25th February 2024, at 10 am at Bhandari Mantop, Wangkhei, Thangjam Leikai, Imphal East, (C/o Dr. L. Tondon Singh).

The program was attended by Shri. Col. Amrit Gopal Singh Koijam (Retd) as Chief Guest, Col. Sushil Kumar Sharma (Retd.), Lt Col. Oinam Nabakumar Singh (Retd.), Lt Col. Konsam Ibohal Singh (Retd.), Huidrom Badankumar Singh, Advocate & President the Oriental Leveller Association (OLA) Club Wangkhei- Kongba were the Guest of honour and Lt. Col. L. Manongba (Indian Army Veteran), President, Wings of Hope Charitable Trust was the President. All together 21 students of children of the victim’s family were given financial support for their further education.

A team of member lead by President, Wings of Hope Lt. Col. Manongba, Volunteer, Wings of Hope and EMA trust visited the families of the victims of affected by the Manipur communal conflict started on 3^rd May, 2023 to identify their needs for providing education support from the trust. All the 5 districts of the valley areas of the state were covered during the house hold survey and meeting with the family members.

1^st Program of the financial support for continuing education to the children of the victim’s family of the communal conflict in the state was held today into 2 batches on 14^th  and 21^st April, 2024 at Thangmeiband Hijam Dewan Leikai, Imphal west at the residence of our Volunteer, Wings of Hope. All together 57 school children of 31 families were provided financial aid for their education.

2^nd Program of the financial support for continuing education to the children of the victim’s family of the communal conflict in the state was held today into 2 batches on 10^th  and 11^th  May, 2024 at Thangmeiband Hijam Dewan Leikai, Imphal west at the residence of our Volunteer, Wings of Hope. All together 57 school children of 31 families were provided financial aid for their education.

3^rd Program of the financial support for continuing education to the children of the victim’s family of the communal conflict in the state was held today on 9^th June, 2024 at the Community Hall , Sana Janmasthan Club , Keishamthong , Nambul Mapal , Imphal.  The distribution was held with the presence of local invitees, guests and President, Wings of Hope Lt. Col. Manongba.  All together 57 school children of 31 families were provided financial aid for their education.

4^th Program of the financial support for continuing education to the children of the victim’s family of the communal conflict in the state was held today on 6^th  July, 2024 at Thangmeiband Hijam Dewan Leikai, Imphal west at the residence of our Volunteer, Wings of Hope. All together 57 school children of 31 families were provided financial aid for their education.

5^th  Program of the financial support for continuing education to the children of the victim’s family of the communal conflict in the state was held today on 9^th  and 10^th  August, 2024 at Thangmeiband Hijam Dewan Leikai, Imphal west at the residence of our Volunteer, Wings of Hope. All together 57 school children of 31 families were provided financial aid for their education

6^th Program of the financial support for continuing education to the children of the victim’s family of the communal conflict in the state was held today on 9^th  September, 2024 at Thangmeiband Hijam Dewan Leikai, Imphal west at the residence of our Volunteer, Wings of Hope. All together 57 school children of 31 families were provided financial aid for their education.

7^th Program of the financial support for continuing education to the children of the victim’s family of the communal conflict in the state was held today into on 10^th  October, 2024 at Thangmeiband Hijam Dewan Leikai, Imphal west at the residence of our Volunteer, Wings of Hope. All together 57 school children of 31 families were provided financial aid for their education.

The distribution program was also attended by President, Wing’s of Hope Lt. Col. Manongba and Trustee member L. Meena where Livelihood project for the 3 widows of our beneficiaries were launched and provided financial aid as an alternative means of Livelihood for the Widows for the initiation of poultry farming and weaving.

8^th Program of the financial support for continuing education to the children of the victim’s family of the communal conflict in the state was held today on 8^th & 9^th November , 2024 at Thangmeiband Hijam Dewan Leikai, Imphal west at the residence of our Volunteer, Wings of Hope. All together 57 school children of 31 families were provided financial aid for their education.

9^th Program of the financial support for continuing education to the children of the victim’s family of the communal conflict in the state was held today on 11^th & 12^th December , 2024 at Thangmeiband Hijam Dewan Leikai, Imphal west at the residence of our Volunteer, Wings of Hope. All together 57 school children of 31 families were provided financial aid for their education.

10^th Program of the financial support for continuing education to the children of the victim’s family of the communal conflict in the state was held today on 4^th January , 2025 at Thangmeiband Hijam Dewan Leikai, Imphal west at the residence of our Volunteer, Wings of Hope. All together 57 school children of 31 families were provided financial aid for their education.

11^th Program of the financial support for continuing education to the children of the victim’s family of the communal conflict in the state was held today on 7^th & 8^th February, 2025 at Thangmeiband Hijam Dewan Leikai, Imphal west at the residence of our Volunteer, Wings of Hope. All together 57 school children of 31 families were provided financial aid for their education.

12^th Program of the financial support for continuing education to the children of the victim’s family of the communal conflict in the state was held today on 10^th & 11^th March, 2025 at Thangmeiband Hijam Dewan Leikai, Imphal west at the residence of our Volunteer, Wings of Hope. All together 57 school children of 31 families were provided financial aid for their education.

 2nd Year Launching of the Educational Support for the Finacial Year 2025-2026

The Trust has embarked on the Second year of its journey to Support 35 families & 58 school going children  (56 Orphans & 2 IDP children) for their continuing education, ranging from nursery to class 12 with the simple function held on 7th Aril, 2025 at Keishamthong Sana Janmasthan Club, Imphal West. 1st Financial Year educational support distribution was held today.  

On Friday, 9th May 2025, the 1st phase of general health check up was carried out for these ladies with the valuable support of Urban Health & Wellness Centre at Sana Janmasthan Club, Moirang Ningthou leirak, Keishamthong. Shri Th Mahendra Pratap Singh, the retired Chief Conservator of forest Manipur, who is also the President of Sana Janmasthan Club spared his valuable time to interact with the widows & trainees during this very important Health check up activity. The President of the Wings of Hope, Lt. Col. Manongba (Retd) expressed gratitude on behalf of the trust, to the Medical Officer Dr. ShiShi & Medical staff of the Urban Health & Wellness Centre & also to the President & Managing Committee of the Sana Janmasthan Club. This activity will go a long way to build up confidence amongst the widows and orphans who have so far been left to fend for themselves.
