The President Wings of Hope honored with the prestigious awards

The prestigious “Veteran Achievers’ Award” presented by the Chief of Army Staff.
The national calendar event of the 77th Army Day parade was held on 15th Jan 2025 at BEG centre, Pune, Maharashtra.
On the occasion of the 9th Veterans' Day, The Chief of Army Staff, General Upendra Dwivedi presented the Prestigious “Veteran Achievers’ Award” to Lt. Col. L. Manongba (Retd). He was selected from amongst the veterans of Manipur & North Eastern region.
The award has been given for the tireless efforts & valuable contribution to Nation building, service to their States & Society, besides bridging the communities in times of calamity.
Lt Col L. MANONGBA (Retd), of 11 Gorkha Rifles, has made silent but remarkable efforts in reaching out to the Ex Servicemen of the state, specially those residing in the remotest corners of hill & valley of the state. He has helped many Ex Servicemen families to avail financial aids & guidance from the Army.
The “Wings of Hope Charitable Trust”, (www.thewingsofhope.in) supported by a highly committed team of Trustees & volunteers, has been giving continuous financial support for the 2nd year of education to 58 orphaned students. The Trust has embarked successfully on alternative Livelihood support to many widows. These orphans & widows are all most unfortunate victims of the recent clashes in Manipur.

The Radiant Wellness Conclave – 8th Edition was held @Taj Coromandel Chennai, on 09th Aug 2025 under the flagship Radiant Group of Companies.
The function culminated with the announcement & distribution of ‘THE’ Awards to 9 recipients, by Dr. Sashi Tharoor.
The Wings of Hope Charitable Trust, (www.thewingsofhope.in) had been working silently for 2 years, in the shadows of the conflict in Manipur. The very “Silent but Impactful Work” to help some of the unfortunate victims of Manipur Clashes has been recognised by the panelists. The Trust has contributed immensely by making 58 Orphans return to school & in helping their mothers, the 35 widows, find alternative means of livelihood, through “Micro Home-based business activities,” The Trust has been picked out of 814 candidates from across the country.
The President of Wings of Hope Lt. Col. L. Manongba (Retd) & Mrs L. Meena (Trustee Member) has been declared as the unanimous choice of the eminent Jury for the “Special Category Award in service to Humanity & Society”. The award is aimed to provide a platform that identifies, honors and raises awareness about people and organisations working to improve society.
