SWING INTO SMILES

On 03 February 2026, the Trust dedicated three simple yet profoundly meaningful facilities for the residents of Akampat Relief Camp, aimed at restoring dignity, livelihood, and moments of joy amid prolonged displacement:
- A portable Swing (Jhula) as a makeshift Children’s Play Area
- Two Wooden Looms for two skilled women IDPs
- Enhancement of an Agarbatti (Joss Stick) Production Facility.
These basic interventions will ensure that children can smile, even if momentarily; that two women can weave honest livelihoods through dreams of warps and wefts (Mayung Maphen gi Tantha); and that one determined entrepreneur can expand her tiny agarbatti unit into a source of employment - becoming a true “Merchant of Aroma.”
Each of these facilities carries a deeply humane and touching story behind.
