The Wings of Hope Charitable Trust today released its activity report, “Tales of Resilience of Our Ladies from the Nooks & Corners of the State”, highlighting humanitarian work carried out from September 2023 to November 2025 for widows, orphans and displaced families affected by the Manipur conflict.
The Trust expressed gratitude to the Assam Rifles and the Radiant Group of Companies, acknowledging them as its strongest partners in expanding education, healthcare and livelihood support across vulnerable communities.
Assam Rifles and Operation Sadbhavana
Since its inception, the Trust has received consistent logistical and ground support from the Assam Rifles under IGAR (South). Under Operation Sadbhavana, machinery and materials worth Rs 5 lakh were recently provided to 19 widows and trainees belonging to five SHGs across Oksu Ningthemcha, Senjam Chirang, Karong Sangaithel, Khumbong and Kangchup. The assistance will enable livelihood activities such as tailoring, handicrafts, candle-making and crochet.
Radiant Group’s Contribution
The Radiant Group of Companies has supported education continuity, healthcare access and livelihood restoration through financial and material assistance, significantly strengthening the Trust’s outreach.
Ongoing Missions
Wings of Hope continues to support 58 orphans and IDP children with schooling, 35 widows and 58 children through health screening, and 15 widows registered under CMHT and PMJAY. The Trust has also trained 30 widows in livelihood skills, formed SHGs in foothill villages and provided interest-free loans to help start micro-businesses.
Statement
Lt. Col. L. Manongba (Retd.), President of the Trust, thanked all partners, including coursemates from the National Defence Academy and civilian donors, stating that their collective support has empowered widows, protected children and strengthened vulnerable families across the state.
